Memories Connected To Place
6th graders are generating “seeds of ideas” in preparation for upcoming narrative writing projects. Today, in their notebooks, students listed all the places they’ve lived, chose one and began sketching a floorplan. Inside the floorplan, students will label/list key events they have memories of in that home.
Dining Outdoors
One of many middle school privileges is dining outdoors. On a daily, rotating basis, each of the grades (6-8) gets the opportunity to eat lunch outside with friends, weather permitting. Below are 6th graders enjoying their meals in the courtyard.
